The task was to accurately recreate the small architectural forms of the Soviet period for Alexei German Jr.’s film “Dovlatov”. According to the idea of the production designer Elena Okopnaya, it perfectly reflects the spirit of the era in which the main character lived. It was necessary to subtly capture the proportions from the photographs, build a model and make drawings for the further manufacture of props. In the frames of the film, the artist implemented a rather bold and subtle technique, a combination of different stylistic textures — French classical curtains in modernist architecture.
